Last month, Unmade held our humAIn conference, focused on the impact of AI on the marketing world.
We ended the day with the Great DebAIt, in which our panellists tackled the threats and opportunities of AI head on.
The debate saw two opposing teams, with backgrounds across media and marketing, dispute the proposition that “generative AI is not a threat to media and marketing jobs, but a much-needed tool to expand what’s possible at speed and low cost”.

Unmade Index takes a slide
It was a broadly negative day on the Unmade Index, which followed the wider ASX downwards on Wednesday.
The index, which measures the performance of ASX-listed media and marketing stocks, fell 1.19% to land at 687.9 points.
Almost every stock declined in share price. The bigger players, Nine and Domain, fell 1.39% and 2.66% respectively. IVE Group dropped 1.28%.
The only broadcaster to win the day was Southern Cross Austereo - it had a 1.05% climb in its share price while rival ARN Media tumbled 1.46%.
