Welcome to Best of the Week, kicked off on QF2 an hour or two out from Darwin, in the early hours of Saturday morning, and wrapped up at the Ibis Darling Harbour early on Sunday morning. Happy VE Day. I watched Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk on the flight home to Australia. It’s underrated. The film’s power is in demonstrating the individual sacrifices of ordinary people to keep their home free. Seven decades later, it’s a bit too easy to take for granted.
