The other day I had a phone call from an AI trying to sell me some wine. It wasn’t very good, but it still felt like a part of every consumer’s future.

Once I realised what was going on, I recorded the conversation:

As you’ll hear, it wasn’t the full generative AI experience of conversations being generated on the fly. It seemed as though the ocker salesman had recorded a series of pitches, and the AI was playing responses depending on what I said.
